Response to Electric Lit’s “Stop Comparing things to 1984”

14 Jan

George Orwell has been a figure of the right and the left for years, in his life and death. What leftists do not understand is that the George Orwell’s “1984” doesn’t work for the left’s narrative anymore. If the narrative is true that the Right are akin to fascists, then Orwell’s death bed prediction came true. What is worse when Electric Lit wants to smear Republicans as being fascist.

This is the most shameful and pubescent idea that leftists always cling to. Shame everyone they disagree with. The article states “And no one seems to love referencing the text, published by George Orwell in 1949, more than the conservative far-right in America—which would be ironic if they’d actually read it or understood how close their own beliefs hew to the totalitarianism Orwell warned of.” (“Stop Comparing Things to 1984” https://www.thepassivevoice.com/please-stop-comparing-things-to-1984/)

IngSoc, the fictional language in the 1984, literal definition is “English Socialism.” ( “What is the meaning of Ingsoc” https://www.enotes.com/homework-help/what-meaning-ingsoc-1984-by-george-orwell-743370) It’s part of the left, you dolt, not the right.

Well, it certainly is happening in America enacted by the American Left.

“The story is linear and easy to follow.” (“Stop Comparing Things to 1984” https://www.thepassivevoice.com/please-stop-comparing-things-to-1984/)

Well, if it was, then you would know the definition of IngSoc. What is clear is that the writer, PG, has never read the book or has misinterpreted the book to meet his own standards.

“Senator Hawley’s comment about Simon & Schuster acting in an “Orwellian” manner in canceling his book contract was vastly overheated.” (“Stop Comparing Things to 1984” https://www.thepassivevoice.com/please-stop-comparing-things-to-1984/)

No, the temperature is just right, PG. And like goldilocks and the three bears, your porridge are poorly misrepresented by the text you undercooked, as you conflate the text with the issues at hand. What the writer should do is reread the book from a different perspective. But the left are fascinated with Orwell as they only cherry pick what the meanings of his texts are. Ultimately, PG, if you call silencing an opposing argument, “overheated,” you are a terrible writer. (But I wont’ ask you to be banned, unlike you and your ilk.)

PG, whoever this person is, reminds me of the echo chamber the left is stuck in. They can’t seem to shake the idea of Trump leaving. It’s in there blood to be angered by a Conservative, like Trump, who wasn’t even born and raised Conservative. He was a lifelong Democrat, who wanted to run in the Independent Party in the 80’s.

The left loves to misrepresent the facts because that fits there narrative. But even Orwell wasn’t stupid, unlike PG, the supposed author of this article.

Again, Orwell should be discussed either way, and shutting people down is not going to win the left any new friends in the next few years. Silencing people’s opinions online by huge Tech Companies, Twitter, is a Big Brother action. But it’s not unlike leftists to claim that there enemy is worse than they are. It’s not a misunderstanding.

But mispresenting “1984” as PG has done, only proves my assertions are true. Blame the opponent, and never think about your own actions. But the problem is far worse than this article could ever assert. “Why you should stop comparing things to 1984” is the reason why PG, and his leftists beliefs, are dying as they will become new Hitlers that erase the meaning of George Orwell’s “1984” and distort to misrepresent the world they want the enemy to be.

As this was a displeasure for me to cover, it proves that Electric Lit is lost to 2015, and doesn’t know what it’s talking about. I guess they should re-read “1984” again. 🤷‍♂️ Finally, PG, “1984” by George Orwell will be discussed long after our articles are out, and should be, until. free society turns in on itself. And that would destroy Freedom of Speech and America together.
